Diagnostic Departments
The diagnostic section is equipped with unique, state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment that meets world standards.
The 3 tesla MRI diagnostic device is unique in its kind in terms of highly accurate diagnoses. X-ray examinations are carried out using a 3D X-ray device. CT diagnostics is performed using the "SOMATOM go.Up" device. The Laboratory Diagnostics Department and Cytological Diagnostics Department are carried out clinical, biochemical, cytological, serological, pathohistological diagnoses, various manipulations, etc.
All Diagnostic Departments are staffed by highly experienced specialists in their field.
The diagnostic section of the medical center consists of the following departments:
- MRI diagnosis department
- X-ray diagnosis department
- CT diagnostics department
- Laboratory diagnostics department
- Cytological diagnostics department
- Vascular duplex scanning department
- Functional Diagnostics Department
- Ultrasound Diagnostics Department
MRI diagnosis department
The diagnosis is carried out with a 3-Tesla Siemens MAGNETOM Lumina MRI device, which is the best MRI device for diagnosing urological lesions by global standards.
The Medical Center after Vladimir Avagyan is the first in Armenia where this type of high-precision MRI research is carried out.
Dr. Artashes Shiganyan
MRI doctor
Dr. Anna Mnatsakanyan
MRI doctor
X-ray diagnosis department
The diagnosis is carried out using a "SIEMENS- AXIOM Luminos dRF" 3D X-ray machine which is a true digital 2-in-1 system for fluoro and radiography designed to provide for a variety wide range of clinical imaging procedures.
Dr. Liana Hovhannisyan
Radiologist
Dr. Margarita H. Batoyan
Radiologist
CT diagnostics department
The diagnosis is carried out with the Siemens "SOMATOM go.Up" machine, which allows for lung and colon screening as well as cardiac studies to evaluate coronary calcium and much more. Thanks to submillimeter collimation SOMATOM go. Up provides high spatial resolution, thereby increasing the sensitivity of diagnostics in oncology.
Dr. Artashes M. Harutyunyan
Radiologist
Dr. Rita A. Bejanyan
Radiologist
Laboratory diagnostics department
The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, such as "ANALYZER A15" biochemical diagnostics machine, "Coatron X" Semi-automated coagulometer machine, "MAGLUMI 600" Snibe Diagnostic device for immunological research, biological Advanced Microscope "HumaScope" device, "Carelyte®" Automated electrolyte analyzer, etc.
Dr. Susanna Hovhannisyan
Biochemist
Dr. Araksya A. Vardanyants
Medical laboratory scientist (MLS)
Cytological diagnostics department
The Department diagnoses malignant and premalignant lesions and diseases on the microscopic level. The Cytopathology Laboratory performs testing on specimens from virtually any body site, including the lungs, thyroid, and urinary tract. One of the most common tests is the Pap test (Cytological examination of the cervix) which is one of the most successful cancer screenings ever developed.
Dr. Anna Khachatryan
Morphologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor
Vascular duplex scanning department
In the duplex scanning department, diagnosis of vascular diseases is carried out with the latest-generation American LOGIQ ultrasound machine.
The duplex scan has no contraindications, it is non-invasive, safe, and fully informative. This method has many advantages: it makes it possible to evaluate the patency of vessels (veins and arteries), indicators of blood circulation, narrowing, dilations, the presence of blood clots, post-thrombotic changes, incipient (early) and advanced atherosclerosis, etc.
Dr. Narine Y. Rapyan
Duplex diagnostic specialist
Dr. Astghik V. Avetikyan
Duplex diagnostic specialist
Functional Diagnostics Department
In the functional diagnostics department, new-generation diagnostic equipment is used to perform
- electrocardiograms
- electrocardiograph
- Echocardiography (ultrasound examination of the heart)
- Holter monitoring / 24-hour electrocardiogram (performed in outpatient conditions during the patient's daily activity).
An electrocardiogram is a common and painless test used to quickly detect heart problems and monitor heart health.
Dr. Irina N. Khachatryan
Cardiologist, Cardiovascular diagnostics specialist
Ultrasound Diagnostics Department
In the ultrasound examination department with new-generation diagnostic equipment, are carried out following examinations:
Examination of organs of the abdominal cavity,
- Examination of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, and spleen
- A complex examination of the genitourinary organ (kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate gland, seminal vesicles)
- Examination of the testicles and appendages, penis with Doppler analysis
- Examination of the uterus and appendages
- Pregnancy examination
- Folliculometry
- Examination of the Thyroid Gland
- Breast examination
- Examination of salivary glands
- Examination of subcutaneous formations
- Examinations of joints, muscles, and tendons
