Orthopedics Department

The Orthopedics Department of the Medical Center after Vladimir Avagyan provides diagnosis and treatment of diseases and congenital defects of the musculoskeletal system, including:

• Rehabilitation of all types of tendon injuries,
• Arthroscopic surgeries of large joints, mainly arthroscopic/endoscopic interventions of the knee and shoulder joints,
• Rehabilitation of meniscal, intra-articular ligaments, and tendon injuries by arthroscopic/endoscopic method,
• Anterior cruciate ligament plastic surgery in case of injuries to the knee joint and rotator cuff tendon injuries,
• Endoscopic treatment of common arthrosis,
• Endoprosthetic of large joints with arthroscopic surgeries of knee and hip joints, replacement of worn/deformed joints due to arthrosis with artificial joints.

Endoscopic surgeries are performed with a special arthroscope device, which allows a camera to be inserted into the joint through several small holes, identify the problem, and endoscopically correct it.

The department uses implants from the Zimmer and Arthrex brands, which are the leaders in the world.
